Watch the progress of Peter Etril Snyder's mural at Kitchener's Centre in the Square
Kitchener's Centre in the Square

As my contribution to the 25th Anniversary celebration of the Centre in the Square in Kitchener, I will be painting a mural (6 feet by 8 feet) of performers who have entertained at this outstanding facility. This acrylic on canvas will be painted in the lobby to the right of the fountain and will allow the public to follow the progress over the course of an entire year.

This work will be a piece that develops from an abstract background to feature a number of well-known stars, both local and international. For the first while, only shapes and textures will appear, but as the months march on, I hope that figures will emerge from this chaos. I do not have a final form in mind, but I trust with time, images will appear. This is an extension of the way that I normally work.
